ABOUT
I tell stories for a living— with words, marketing data, and even cards.
By day, I lead integrated media strategy for a large holding company, where I blend instinct with strategy to help shape narratives that reach millions. I’ve spent my career in marketing doing what I now do in my writing: uncovering emotional truths, spotting patterns, and finding the human pulse behind every message.
But the most profound work I do begins when I quiet down my intrinsic extrovert. That’s when I write.
My memoir-in-progress, Ace of Hearts: What Poker Taught Me About Love By Betting on Myself, uses the language of poker to explore love, resilience, identity, and the high-stakes hands life dealt me. Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in adulthood, and having thrived after two divorces, I know what it means to be misread and underestimated, even by my own accounting. I know what it takes to bluff, and how to bet on myself at every turn.
Poker has been a lifelong teacher—one that showed up at the kitchen table with my dad and followed me into rooms where I was the only woman, or the only one not wearing a poker face. It’s more than a game to me; it’s a metaphor, a mirror, and sometimes, a way home.
I write essays, op-eds, and narrative nonfiction that explore the emotional undercurrents of seemingly strategic lives. My work has appeared in places like Vogue, The Guardian, The Washington Post, and I’m drawn to the kinds of stories that live in the margins—half-told, waiting to be named.
I also cross-stitch. (It helps when writing about pain. Sometimes it’s the only way to hold still.)
Whether I’m crafting a brand story or writing about my own, I’m interested in tension, in truth, and in the brave act of staying in the hand even when the odds look bad. My writing lives at the intersection of intellect and heart—just like the best poker players I know.
I'm currently seeking a literary agent and publisher who shares my vision for stories that linger long after the final page is turned. I'm excited by the prospect of collaborating with partners who are as passionate about bringing meaningful narratives to readers as I am.
Ante up. Let’s Play.
